Healthcare Analysis Reporting Technology Services (HARTS)

KDJ Consultants utilizes its own proprietary software, which is called the Healthcare Analysis Reporting Technology Services, or HARTS for short. This project management software has been developed over our many years of professional healthcare experience and is utilized internally to manage all consulting projects. It is also offered to clients as a subscription agreement if they complete internal chart collection activities. It is a web-based communications and project management tool with a strong emphasis on Protected Health Information (PHI) security.

Full Transparency & Real Time Status Reporting

All consulting clients are provided client access to HARTS for their project for full transparency of project status, communication, and other reports. This access provides real time status reporting, access to all medical records, ability to view chart abstraction annotations, and communicate any overread questions or concerns. Any collection or abstraction issues encountered by KDJ are communicated to clients and allow for clear client resolution.

Clients are also able to send secure messages within HARTS to any user assigned to their project. Clients can export data from these reports and all medical records collected can be exported and provided to clients at the project end.

HARTS was Developed with PHI Security as a Top Priority

HARTS is web-based and it requires whitelisted network IP addresses for access and is role-based. HARTS is HIPAA compliant and is included in KDJ’s annual SOC2 survey. All PHI, including medical records, is purged from HARTS after completion of project on a schedule agreed upon with clients.

Our contractors and clients appreciate this user-friendly yet powerful tool. For KDJ staff, contractors, and subscribers, HARTS provides clear assignments, project tracking, and built-in workflow. HARTS allows secure faxes to be transmitted for medical record requests and follow-up on incomplete requests. Clinical staff can create and view annotations of medical records and perform overreads. Overread reports are available for each clinical user to ensure consistent quality. HARTS includes the ability to complete data entry of information abstracted from medical records. This information can be exported in a final report. Standardized tools and reports for HEDIS^® projects are available, as well as the ability to customize for other reporting needs.
